Throwing away a set of press-ons after wearing them once? Such a shame. With the right care you can wear the same handmade set again and again. Better for your wallet and a lot more sustainable. Here's how to go about it.
Always remove them with warm water
The most important rule: never pull your nails off dry. Soak them loose in warm water with a little oil or washing-up liquid. That way the inside of the press-on stays undamaged and the nail keeps its shape and shine. You can read exactly how that works in our removal guide.
Clean the inside
Carefully roll off old glue tab residue with your thumb. Stubborn bits? Soak them in warm water for a moment and rub gently with a cloth. Don't use sharp objects and no acetone, as those attack the soft gel.
Store them in the original box
It sounds simple, but the box protects the nails against scratches, dust and discolouration from sunlight. Store the nails in order of size and you'll have them on even faster next time.
Use fresh glue tabs each time
The nails are reusable, the glue tabs are not. Use fresh tabs every time you wear them for the best hold. Our L'Adele glue tabs are made especially for this and last eight wears per pack.
Rotate between your sets
My favourite trick: slowly build up a small collection. A nude set for weekdays, something sparkling for the weekend and a statement set for special occasions. That way no single set wears out quickly and you always have the right look ready. Need inspiration? Browse our everyday sets and the glitter collection.
