The biggest advantage of press-on nails over gel or acrylic? You remove them in three minutes, without filing, without acetone and without damaged nails. As long as you do it properly, that is. Pull them off dry and a layer of your natural nail really can come with them. Here's the smart way.
The warm water method
Fill a bowl with warm water and a dash of washing-up liquid or oil. Soak your fingertips in it for five minutes. The warm water softens the glue tabs, so the nails come loose almost by themselves. Combine it with an episode of something on the sofa and it feels like a mini spa moment.
Ease gently, never pull
Feel a corner coming loose? Then gently ease the cuticle stick under the side of the nail. Move it slowly back and forth until the nail releases. If you feel resistance, back into the water for a moment. Patience really is your friend here.
Removing glue residue
Bits of glue tab left on your natural nail? You can simply roll them off with your thumb, or remove them with a drop of oil. No acetone needed. Your nails stay smooth and shiny.
Store your set for next time
And now the best part: your set is ready for another round. Rinse the nails clean, let them dry and store them in their box. With fresh glue tabs you can wear the same set again and again. Also read our tips on reusing your press-ons.
