A starter set is the easiest way to begin with press-on nails. You don't need to know anything about sizes or shapes, you don't need any extra kit, and within ten minutes you have a manicure you can walk out of the door with.
What's in the set?
Every box contains everything you need:
- your handmade soft gel nail set
- 150 adhesive tabs for a firm hold that's kind to your skin
- a nail file
- a cuticle pusher to ease back your cuticles
- five alcohol wipes to remove any oil from your nails
No hunting around for glue or a file. You open the box and you can start.
You don't have to worry about size
The biggest hesitation with a first order is the size. That's why our Beginnerset Reflected contains every size from S to L. Lay the nails loosely on your fingers, pick the size for each finger that covers the whole nail without touching your skin, and you're done. Torn between two sizes? Take the larger one; a few strokes of the file along the sides and it fits precisely.
Ready in ten minutes
Clean your nails and remove any oil, gently push back your cuticles, lay out the right sizes, stick on the adhesive tab and press each nail down firmly for fifteen to thirty seconds. Those last seconds are exactly the difference between nails that lift after three days and nails that stay put for two weeks. How long do they last?
With good preparation you'll wear a set for one to two weeks, about ten days on average. Fancy a change sooner? That's fine too, and it's exactly the advantage. To take them off, soak them in warm water for a few minutes, with no filing and no acetone. Your own nails stay completely intact, and you can wear the set again afterwards with fresh adhesive tabs from the box.
Which shape should a beginner choose?
If this is your first time, go for Round or Square Short. Those shapes don't catch on anything, feel natural straight away, and you can still type, cook and work out as normal.
