Description

Royal Orchid press-on nails are bordeaux nails with the glow of an orchid: a rich red purple that looks that little bit lovelier under artificial light. Where bright red grabs all the attention at once, this shade stands out in a quieter way. It belongs to autumn and winter, when the evenings are long and the lamps go on early. Think drinks, a candlelit dinner or a concert, in velvet or a soft knitted jumper. You'll find more sets for the festive season in the Christmas and party nails.

What's in the box

Everything you need to get started is in the box:

  • 15 handmade soft gel nails: 10 for your hands and 5 spares, in your size
  • 150 adhesive tabs, good for several rounds
  • Nail file, cuticle pusher and 5 cleaning pads

Our premium sets are built layer by layer by hand from soft gel in our studio, just like a BIAB treatment.

Choosing your shape and size

You choose the shape yourself: Round, Oval Short, Square Short and Oval Long, from the shortest to the longest. Then you choose a size: XS, S, M or L. False nails stand or fall with the right size, so measure first. Lay a ruler across the widest part of your nail and use that measurement. If you're between two sizes, choose M. Not sure of your size yet? Start with the Beginnerset Reflected: it comes in sizes S, M and L, so you can find out at home, at your own pace, which size suits you.

Applying and wearing

It takes you about ten minutes, no more: clean your nails, pick your size, add an adhesive tab and press each nail down firmly for 10 seconds. No lamp, no drying time. For the first 2 to 4 hours, avoid keeping your hands in water for long, so the tab bonds as well as it can. Expect 1 to 2 weeks of wear with the adhesive tabs in the box, about 10 days on average. Because this is real soft gel and not thin false nails, you can file them, paint over them and simply use the set again after taking it off, 3 to 5 times on average with fresh adhesive tabs. To be honest, if you do a lot of washing up or cleaning, you'll get a few fewer days out of them.

Not the right size after all? You can exchange an unused set for the right size within 14 days through our returns portal. You pay the return postage, and we always send your new size free of charge. The colour can look slightly different from the photo depending on the light; that comes with handmade work.

    Hold it at a 45-degree angle and line it up with the adhesive tab. Press it onto the tab, slide it towards your cuticle and then press it down.

  2. Press firmly

    From the centre towards the edges, so air bubbles disappear and the bond is strong.

  3. Avoid water for 2 to 4 hours
    Avoid water for 2 to 4 hours

    This gives the adhesive time to bond properly and keeps your nails on longest. Washing your hands is fine, just put off that long bath for a while.

We ship worldwide from the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Austria and the United Kingdom your set arrives within 1 to 3 working days, in Italy, Spain and Ireland within 3 to 5 working days and everywhere else within about 7 working days. Shipping is free from €50; below that you pay €4.95. Outside the EU we always ship DDP: we take care of all import costs, so you never pay anything extra on delivery.

You have 14 days after delivery to change your mind. You can exchange an unused set for the right size within 14 days. Returns cost €4.95 and we send the new size free of charge. Start an exchange or return in our returns portal. You can do this as long as the set is unworn and complete (original packaging, adhesive tabs, nail file, cuticle pusher and cleaning pads).
