Applying and removing press-on nails
Applying press-on nails takes about ten minutes. Wash your hands, gently push back your cuticles and clean your nails with an alcohol prep pad. There's no need to roughen or file them: clean nails that are free of oil are all you need for a good hold. Then press an adhesive tab flat onto your own nail, place the press-on nail on top and press it down firmly for 10 seconds. Keep your hands out of water for the first 2 to 4 hours. With the adhesive tabs, a set stays on for 1 to 2 weeks, about 10 days on average.
To remove them, soak your hands in warm water for a few minutes and lift the nail at the side with the cuticle pusher. Store the set in its box and you can wear it 3 to 5 times with fresh tabs. Our guide on making press-on nails last longer covers the most common reasons they lift.
